Ways to Give

Your support for AnimalKind means creating lasting impact for pets and the people who care for them. Whether you choose to give through financial contributions, in honor a loved one or through your workplace programs, there are several meaningful ways you can make a difference. Consider one of the below giving options to find the method that best works for your passion to support our mission.

Make a One-Time Gift or Become a Sustainer

Gifts In Memory and In Honor

Contribute to AnimalKind in memory of a special person or beloved pet. Mark a special occasion for a family member or friend (i.e. birthdays, anniversaries) with a gift in celebration. Simply make your gift with a note referencing the person for whom the gift is honoring, memorializing, or celebrating. An AnimalKind team member will then mail a card to the person you’ve designated stating that a donation has been made on their behalf. Choose to have your family or friends contribute to AnimalKind in lieu of gifts or flowers when it’s time to recognize the important moments in your life.

Naming Opportunities

Gifts of Stocks or Mutual Funds

AnimalKind is able to accept gifts of stocks and/or mutual funds. Please contact us at 919-870-1660 if you wish to make a stock or mutual fund donation and we will provide you with the necessary information to make this happen. Please contact us at info@animalkind.org.org or 330-232-1802.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many companies have sponsored employee giving programs that match personal contributions made to AnimalKind. Please contact your HR department to see if your company participates in this program and obtain the necessary forms. Once we have received/processed the form and your donation is paid in full, we will contact your company. Don’t miss this great opportunity to double or possibly triple your gift!

Qualified Charitable Distributions

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax-free gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to AnimalKind through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). A QCD allows you to support affordable veterinary care while potentially reducing your taxable income. For individuals age 73 and older, a QCD may also count toward all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

Your gift helps provide affordable spay/neuter surgeries, preventive veterinary care, and other essential services that keep pets healthy and with the families who love them.

Please consult your financial advisor or a tax professional to determine whether a Qualified Charitable Distribution is right for you.
